Philips Lighting Concept Centre: FAQ’s

1. I require hotel accommodations. Do you have a preferred vendor?

2. What if I have to cancel my enrollment in a program?

To cancel, please visit our registration site where you originally enrolled in the program. When you login and click on your enrollments, you will see an option to cancel your registration for the program. 
3. Are there any Continuing Education Credits offered through the LCC?

 

Yes. Some courses have been approved for self-directed credits for such organizations as NCQLP (National Council on Qualification for the Lighting Professions), IDC (Interior Designers of Canada), OAA (Ontario Architects Association), OAQ (Ordre des architectes du Quebec) AAA (Alberta Association of Architects), AIBC (Architectural Institute of British Columbia).

 

If you are unsure on whether or not the courses of your choice qualify, please contact Ellen Godson at ellen.godson@philips.com for further information.

4. I work in the industry and would like to create a custom program for my team. How can I do this?

Please take note of the following steps in order to request and schedule a customer specific workshop:

 

1.Please fill out the Visitor Request Form for Custom Workshops found here.

 

2.Once you have completed the form in full, please submit the form to Ellen Godson at ellen.godson@philips.com. Please allow at least 6 weeks notice prior to your requested program date(s) in order to allow enough time for program development and coordination of required logistics.

 

3.Once your date of program is confirmed, a confirmation will be sent to you

 

Please note, in order to run a custom workshop, we require a minimum of 10, and a maximum of 20 attendees. 

5. Do you offer any programs online?


Yes. Philips University offers a variety of online courses through its Global Education site where you can participate in online modules, register for webinars and more.

 

When browsing through the educational resources, you can search for a course of your particular area of interest through a resource theme such as the basics of lighting, LEDs, connected lighting and human centric lighting courses.  You can also search for resources by type such as webinars, videos, publications and more.

 

Please click through the educational browser to learn more and to enroll in an online course or module. 

6. Does the LCC offer any programs in French?

At this time, the LCC does not offer its in-class programs in French.
7. Does Philips University have a US learning facility?

Yes! The Philips Lighting Application Center (LAC) is located in Somerset, New Jersey. Please visit the Lighting Application Center to learn more about what the LAC has to offer. To register for upcoming programs with the LAC, please click here
