Toronto / Markham, Ontario, Canada - Philips Lighting Concept Centre (LCC) & Philips Lighting Application Centres (LAC) are designed to demonstrate the fundamental principles of lighting application. Air travel to Toronto should be scheduled through Pearson International Airport or the Billy Bishop Airport.

 

Somerset, N.J. - Located at the Philips Lighting North American headquarters, the Lighting Application Center offers more than 20,000 sq ft of demonstrations and applications. The Philips LAC is located 30 miles from Newark Liberty Airport and is readily accessible to and from New York City.

Tom Butters

Tom Butters

 

Sr. Manager, Philips Lighting University, Lighting Concept Centre, Lighting Application Centre

LC (Lighting Certified) by NCQLP (National Qualifications for the Lighting Professions)

Member of IESNA (Illuminating Engineering Society of North America)
Tom has been directing the Philips Lighting Concept Centre since 2007. He is a Certified Lighting Facilitator. Tom was bestowed the IES Toronto Section Mentorship Award in 2011.

Tom is a Certified Lighting Facilitator with Philips and with Philips - Canlyte since 1997. He runs the Philips Lighting Concept Centre in Downtown Toronto and the Philips Lighting Application Centre in Markham. Tom is a frequent guest speaker and has made numerous and varied lighting application presentations for IDC, OAA, AAA, ARIDO and the IESNA as well as day to day seminars at Philips’ Lighting Concept Centre. Tom will be the President of Toronto’s IES Section for 2014 – 2016. He is the 2011 winner of IES Toronto’s Mentorship Award and the 2015 recipient of the prestigious G.G. Cousins Award.

Dan Blitzer

 

Dan Blitzer's 30-year lighting career spans sales, marketing, product development, and education.

Dan has worked, written, and spoken widely on advanced lighting systems, sustainability, lighting application, and fundamentals. He is the principal of The Practical Lighting Workshop LLC, and serves on the steering committee of the Next Generation Luminaries LED competition.

Dan is Lighting Certified, a member of the IESNA and the Designing Lighting Forum of NY (past president).

Mark Roush

Mark Roush

 

Mark Roush’s more than 35 year career in lighting includes strategic brand and product marketing, business development, application engineering, and lighting education.

Mark is the principal of Experience Light, and has been on the faculties of two universities teaching lighting in architecture and interior design. In addition, he has managed lighting centers for four companies including being the original Philips LAC Manager for it’s opening in 1987, and has been a speaker at numerous national events.

Mark is a Fellow of the IESNA, is Lighting Certified, and is former President of the International Association of Lighting Designer's Education Trust and current Vice President (President Elect as of July 2015) of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America.

Jill Matts is a curriculum designer, facilitator, coach and speaker with a passion for seeing people learn, grow and apply their greatness.

Jill is a member of the American Society for Training and Development, the Association of Curriculum and Development, Phi Delta Kappa (Professional Fraternity in Education) and in the Who’s Who Among American Teachers.
